I forgot to blog about these. I made these the weekend before last for my boyfriend as it was his birthday and these are his favourite cakes.

Valentine card order

So I got asked by a friend of mine for a valentines card for a card swop her and some other mummies were doing for their 1 year olds. She wanted it to be valentines but suitable for a child so this is what I made:




I used some generic deep red card stock and embossed it with the gorgeous heart embossing folder that I just bought. The stamp was a freebie Margaret Sherry with cardmaking and papercraft, the stamped sentiment is one I've had for ages by Hero Arts and the red stripy paper is by K & Co from their giant 360 page stack.

Herman Day 1

Forgot to update this yesterday. Here is the start of my Herman. He is a German friendship cake so I have learned although isn't actually German, the cake is of Amish decent. I guess it's like a cake version of a chain letter really, it's a 10 day cycle so here is day 1.



I transferred the starter I was given by my boss into a mixing bowl as per the instructions.
