Button frames

My son made a button frame from lolly sticks at school so I decided to copy him and make a pretty one with some buttons that I had bought but didn't have a use for. Here it is:

I started off with some plain lolly sticks that I stuck together using a glue gun and then I painted them white as I wanted them to have a white background rather than a wooden colour.

I then used the glue gun to glue the buttons on like this. These amazing buttons are craft buttons that I bought on Amazon that came from China.

Then I used some ribbon to put them together and backed them in strong white card so that a picture can be slotted in the top. I haven't put any pictures in there just yet as I don't have anywhere for it to go at the moment and I may decide to give it away instead.

Canvas hair clip storage

I had a plain canvas that I bought to do something with ages and ages ago

I covered it in fabric and glued it down with my glue gun. It would have been easier if I had a staple gun but unfortunately I don't have one.

I picked ribbons to match my daughters bedroom and spaced them out.

I then measured and spaced them out equally and glued them down.

The front parts weren't glued so that I could put clips all the way down the ribbons

I put my daughters clips on that I could find although I'm sure there are more hiding in other rooms.

This is the side view

We have bought some new boxes for her bedroom to put some of her new toys in. Just need to get the unit now once it's back in stock.

Need to get it put on the wall once we have decided where it's going to go

A few wedding makes

I have very much neglected my blog recently, life has very much got in the way of crafting so I have been putting my family first.

I never posted these makes though so here we go:

Here is the table plan that I made for our wedding:

I got these gorgeous little ovals from Hobbycraft. I still have them tucked away too as I pulled them off when we disposed of the table plan after the wedding.

The mark on the ribbon happened afterwards as I forgot to take pictures before (oops! I did only finish it the day before the wedding though, lol).

I also made all the place cards for everyone.
They looked fab on the tables and matched the wedding invites.

I also named the tables after places in Harry Potter so each table had individual signs although I forgot to take pictures of all of these - epic fail! This was one of them though which was on the head table. Thankfully our wedding photographer got this picture and the one above of the place cards.
